Camber plate bushing squeaking
1982 SC, stock suspension... I'm in the process of tracking down a squeak in the front suspension. Today I had my wife turn the wheel and it appears that the squeak/creak is coming from the camber plate bushings. The rubber rotates ever so slightly when turning the wheel and makes the sound. Does this indicate that the bushings are bad or can they be lubed? The rubber looks fine and it does appear that the camber plates have been replaced at some point (look new-ish and undercoating was not present on the plate. If they're bad, I'm going to go with the 2 piece elephant racing units.
Thanks in advance! |

You may identify the noise point, but no doubt if the suspension is original bushings you are going to be amazed what a difference a new set of bushings, etc. front and rear will reveal.
