Another 3.6 resource...
Hey, I am just at the beginning so check back often. Also, comments and additional write-ups from others are more than welcome. Eventually, this could be the start to something where all the possible solutions with its pros and cons are reviewed with pictures and comments along the way. Something Jack could put into the F.A.Q section of his planned 3.6 swap domain.
At this point the only two sections where I added some meat are the oil cooling page and the electrical page (theory mostly) My 3.6 conversion in progess Let me know what you think. Ingo |
Looks good so far. Do have a link from your homepage? Keep us posted and when you need an extra hand, let me know.

Ingo, great site! Be sure to keep it updated since I'll be checking it often. I am planning the same conversion in my 2 car garage and am in the parts accumulation phase.

Nice site - I love long stories about engine swaps...the more pictures the better, and I'll be reading religiously!

Ingo,
Looks great. In fact I just added your site to my favorites list. Looks like it will be a great focal point for this type of modification. Good luck. Rick '85 Carrera 3.2 (40k miles) |
Great website, currently prepping my car for its 3.6 arrival. Coming crate but I still got to do the Carrera cooler and other misc. stuff. Wish I had the time to document a complete conversion like your doing. Thanks for providing this.

What....no pics of the beer swilling helper elves?

Looks good so far. I have some stuff on my site you might want to link to. Check out http://vintagebus.com/howto
Also, "while you're in there" you might want to drill and tap your trans case for a cooler, just in case. You can just insert a plug for now, and then add the fittings later. I used 3/8" NPT fittings. |
