Just for the record....
I lost storage for three cars last summer. Forced to find something closer to home. Public storage not an option and at their prices...I needed to come to terms with how many cars I really needed to hold onto
So I decided to build an addition to my shop and found a local mountain neighbor that would rent me some barn space while I was expanding my shop. Winterized the walls and roof and floor. Went online to see what interior preparation I needed. Overwhelming suggestion for the interior was to use "lint free" dryer sheets and moth balls. Big mistake...mice like that stuff. They chewed up the upholstery in all three cars and made nasty nests. I now have the cars back home and am setting traps daily. What a mess, Do not use fabric softeners and moth balls......mice don't care. Speedo |
I am very sorry to hear this but thank you for your post as I will need storage if their is no room in my father's garage, so I'll have to really find a good place.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I need to come up and check out the new storage.

Suggestion for others that may be storing a car in an area prone to mice:
Wrap batts of steel wool in a plastic shopping bag then use them to plug every hole you can find! |
