OMP steering wheel in 3.2 Carrera

So I replaced my stock wheel in my 85 with a Momo mod 07
Great wheel but I found myself wanting the wheel even closer to me so a friend shot me an OMP Superleggero.

Install was a 6 Allen bolt affair as the hub is the same as for the Momo

Man do I love this!!!! 95mm dish and the momo was leather, which I generally prefer but something about this aluminum wrapped in suede is delightful.
Gonna give it a few weeks to see the liveability but first impressions are A plus

Btw - photo is taken from a low angle - the wheel doesn't show that much of the speedo but for obvious reasons does show more than the mod 07

Cool - so that's about an inch closer than the Mod 07?

I would love to buy your Mod 7 if you decide to sell.

Also, There is an offset mount thing that moves the wheel up a little and - added bonus moves the wheel ~ 1/2" closer to you. You could potentially go back to the Mod 7 - be able to see your gauges and have the spacing back to you where you want it.

Jack Olsen first posted about this offset mount and raved about it. I absolutely love it! Now I just need a wheel that is slightly larger and it will be perfect.

That's exactly what I have on my 87 3.2. Mod 07 with the 1/2' spacer, I really like it, It sets the wheel higher and slightly closer to me.

This OMP wheel is very nice though. I have the suede Mod 07 and love it too!

Thanks,
Mark

I removed the ugly white gauge inserts since the picture :/

OMP makes some pretty long spacers also... cheaper than buying a new steering wheel.

Ferrino- yup 25mm is almost exactly an inch
Elombard - I'll definitely PM you should I keep the OMP. I'm definitely weighing the suede vs the feel of the leather and will decide in a few weeks or so

This tread reminded me to buy an OMP like OP's. Love it.
