Toolkit style?
 
I have a 911 toolkit here which is original black leather-type pouch (could be vinyl?), but it only has 6 pieces inside, one piece per each pocket that it has.

Is this common and could it be identified easily? I will try to post a picture or two so we can hone in on what it is...what vintage/year(s) and what if anything is missing?
