Hand tach useful?
Thinking of a cheap hand tach for occasional use tuning the car. Those I'm looking at apparently bounce an IR or led signal off a rotating object marked with aluminum foil or similar to give an instant reading. Love to hear from anyone who's used one. Do they perform as advertised?
