Front Turn Signal Backdate Wiring
Hey Guys,
I have a 76 911s that I am in the middle of backdating, I have the fenders mounted and need to wire the front turn signal assemblies. Being that I have very limited knowledge in electrical, I took pictures of the assembly wiring before I removed it for reference. I noticed that they had wires jumpered from side of the assembly to the next. On the early assemblies, I am not quite sure how the jumpering should done. I have copies of both early and late diagrams but cannot make sense of it. Plenty of searching has brought up solutions for either early and late versions but nothing about going from a 76 to early turn signals? Can anyone share a search link I may have missed or a picture/diagram? Would really love to not see the white smoke because I messed it up. Appreciate any help, Thnx Neil |
I am no help but the first time i did it I figured out the ground and then experimented with alligator jumpers to figure out which light did what.

Does anyone have a picture showing which bulb does what? The 76 housing had two bulbs, the early housing has three. Not sure what each one does.

The front most light and the rear most light are the running lights on the pre 74 housings. The center light (the one you can see from the front and side on the bend) is the blinker.
Hope that makes sense to you. |
It does thanks! Just making sure, now I can get this done.
