Got to ask regarding the M491...

Is there anything that the stock chassis of the M491 option provides as a donor car that you cannot replicate with steel flares and aftermarket suspension, it even seems you have replaced much of the stock suspension anyway in this build.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the pickup points are slightly different for the suspension. Everything is the same as the 930, except the M491 (inexplicably) lacks the anti-dive geometry (more like a spacer) up front.

Well I ended up buying this project from my friend, starting to sell off parts that would have made the car an iroc. Will be backdating it and hopefully be ready for Luft 5. I think that we will remove engine and transmission and clean up and paint the engine compartment, clean up engine and trans, get the stock turbo calipers redone and remounted. Change out 17" wheels for 15" rsr braids with Michelin TB's. Backdate the gauges and some early style seats, maybe a scheel type, keep the ac for sure.

But first we have to finish with our clients 67 R inspired lwb hotrod, in this picture the base coat only has been sprayed, it was cleared right after these were taken

Thank you.

Sold the 17" wheels and tires, took off the big brakes and put on the stock turbo rotors and waiting for the 930 calipers to come back from PMB. We are going to try and have the car at Luft 5, along with the blue car and the new bahama orange car we are finishing up now.

The blue car is back for some modifications, the new owner wants a door pocket on the passenger door panel, passenger side mirror, and electric a/c from classic retrofit.

The owner is a great guy he makes the car available to me if there is a show or event I would like to bring it to. I picked it up from him Friday the day before the Lit show and had it at events over the weekend. He came down to see it Sunday at the Phoenix club and go see some of the other cars there.

Some updates, we had 3 cars at the Luft 5 event including the red hot rod. We put a bunch of stickers on the car and had dubbed it "Der IROC Panzer" what a great weekend and event.
Since returning we have just started on backdating the car to an RSR inspired hot rod. My father in law is making the front turn signal pieces that allow for your short hood fender to become a long hood early style. I will be helping him market sell them shortly.

What light boxes do you use for the backdate?
