looking for local mechinic

Hi. I'm looking for a local mechanic to help me with starting issues on 1977 911. I've been trying to determine why its not starting. I'm out of Orlando, Fl. I will pay for your help. Thanks

Call Sid at TroySport. He can handle anything your car needs. He did the top end rebuild on my SC (for the PO) along with plenty of other stuff. He is highly respected by other aircooled techs too.

Hey, sorry I was MIA and didn't reply right away. I'll look Sid up and definitely see him at some point. Found the problem. Wires to coil and ground was brittle. The wires were damaged under the wire connectors and I couldn't see them at first. When I saw they were damaged, I cut the wires and connected to the coil / ground without connectors. Car started right up and has been starting strong ever since. Its starts up with one turnover perfect, compared to before. Before, it would take about 5-6 turnover. I was afraid I was going to wear out my starter fortunately I did those starter on 911 are strong. Issue fixed. Once in a while It'll take 2 -3 tries start up. Could be cold / hot start. I’ll look into that next.

I wrote on here about starting issues and I was given great information. I check if I was getting fuel and could here fuel pump working. So I concentrated on electrical and found issue. Wires to coil and ground needed new connectors.

So thanks everyone. Hope my resolution can help others.
