She's Back From The Paint Shop!-PIX!

I'm really excited, and just HAD to post. I picked my car up this afternoon after her spending the last 5 weeks in the body shop. I love the way she looks! I put a chin spoiler on before taking her in, and put a new lid/Carrera tail on at the shop.

More importantly, it felt great to drive a REAL car again. I've GOT PICS A COUPLE OF MESSAGES DOWN.

I've got a quick question: Are the marker light bulbs common and available at "normal" auto parts stores? I've got a couple out and I've never given them much thought.

Polished turbo wheels will be enroute soon to finish off the "makeover".

Thanks for the nice comments. K9: The next project(s) will get started this weekend! Actually, I've really missed having her around. I joke to my wife that the Holidays were somewhat sad with the empty garage bay.

Beautiful! My Dad lives in Highland Village - know the area well. Your car looks wonderful. Guess you'll be parking in "the North 40" for awhile!

Did you strip your targa bar and trim, or back date? I like it.

I like the targa bar, window and headlight trim in silver/chrome. The pieces give the car a sort of retro, old school look and pull some seriousness out of the no-nonsense black pieces that are all over the impact-bumper 911s. Oh yeah, nice paint too!

later,

amir

Actually, the car was ordered with a custom color exterior and interior from the factory to match colors provided by the original buyer. I had the shop match the original paint. I believe the trim also was custom ordered from the factory. I ordered a Cert of Authenticity, which confirmed everything, as there was no color code on the car that made sense. I call her "Ruby" because it is a red/red with no orange in it to speak of. I'm pretty happy with the look, and will be totally satisfied (yeah, right) when I get the larger polished Fuchs on in a couple of weeks.

Ed,

Your car looks great! I really like that color of red and it looks great with the natural finish on the Targa bar. Take time to admire it a lot while it's so fresh.
