boiling carbs anybody boiled their webers? did it help clear the passages? how long did you boil? i've cleaned mine several times with carb cleaner and air, but i suspect i may have a restriction in the idle passages. TIA!! doug |

I rebuild my webers on a yearly basis. Webers are very prone to failing in the idle circuits with dirty fuel. so I just flush them out well with carb cleaner every fall/winter. The webers run on the idle circuits till about 3200 rpm |

It may or may not clean them out. If they are really bad you may need a wire or drill to get certain passage clean. Be very careful not to mess up any passages that meter your fuel. Get the haynes weber book, which has fuel schematics, and blow air in all the passages and make sure it comes out where it is supposed to. |
