Question How do I install this?

Dear friends,

I would like to remove this paint plate, so I can paint the car properly.

But the question is how do i remove it with out damage it and how do i install the new rivets, since the back of the door post is inaccessible to smash /hammer the rivet

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Those are the incorrect rivets. They should be a nail with spiral grooves to thread into the hole.

I need these rivets to replace my paint tag. The originals look like they have smaller heads then the units posted? ?

Wow, that is the first time I have seen those too. My car is undergoing a full restoration and we will be installing a new paint tag onto the door jamb. Now I know what rivets to look for. Where do you buy those?

Here's a link to a supplier, though it's in the UK.

Fastener Data - Metric Round Hammer Drive Screw ’U’ Steel - Hammer Drive - Self tapping Screw - SCREWS - DIMENSIONS - Fastener Specifications

Google will probably find you one domestically.
