Rotation of ignition distributor
Hi.
Does the ignition rotor turn clockwise or CCW on a 1971 911T? As i cant seem to balance my engine right, i suspect that my mechanic connected the ignition cables in the wrong order. Right now they are connected as the rotor is spinning CW, but as I can figure out, it is spinning CCW on the early 911's? Best Niels

Niels,
Remove the distributor cap, put the transmission in a forward gear (like 4th or 5th gear), go to the back of the car and push the car forward. Note the direction the rotor spins. If the car starts at all, the wires are probably not on backward. If the car is firing, but not starting, more likely the distributor is installed 180 deg incorrectly. Has the distributor been out? Does the car start and run? What is the issue you are having?
