I think the spring plates do look better painted. Although I think they were just plated from '69 onwards. For those that want to keep original.

Really I would have thought plating would be tougher.
Is this true of Powder coating as well?

Did you plate the brake rotors?

Yes. I just dropped off everything I could find. I figure I could always paint over the zinc if need be.
The company was great to deal with. Everything was done in a week.

All this talk about plating and corrosion resistant coatings on cars that will never see a wet road again; well it's funny if you think about it.
