More LED Lightbulb Kits available
I recently got the supplies to make 5 more LED light bulb kits. This is sort of a version 2.0.
I made a change to the brake light bulbs for the correct fit and also realized that it would apply to 74-88, not 1989. There seem to have been some changes to the light bulbs configuration mid-year in 1989 or something. Anyway, it includes bulbs for the four side markers, dome light, engine compartment, glove box, turn signals, reverse lights, frunk, license plate, rear brake lights and third brake light. It also includes the relay you need for LED turn signals so they don't hyper flash and instructions. I only have 5, so message me if you would like one before they're gone again. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1473893493.jpg |
I forgot to add that the kit is $105 which includes UPS ground shipping within the continental US.

Can a brother get the local guy hook-up?
I could really use these in the gray slant. Shoot me an email with details and I'll get you paid. Thanks! |
Helping a Brother Out
Heck yeah! Especially after all of the good exhaust advice you've given me!

That's all five kits spoken for. If you didn't get one and would like one, you can PM me and I will start a list. If there's enough interest, I'll order the supplies to put some more together. It normally takes about 10 business days for me to get the parts I need.

Are you planning to make a package for an 89? I may or may not be subject to that change you're describing. Thx.
|
Unfortunately, I probably won't. there's a difference in a few of the bulbs and I wouldn't have a way on knowing which 89 models would be affected. Several of the bulbs are the same (parking lights, glove box, engine compartment, frunk, etc., so the only thing I could do was make a limited kit of the parts I knew fit an 89

It would be great if some of the lucky buyers post up some "left side new, right side old" pictures so we can get an idea of how much brighter they are, side by side, same conditions.

I'm assuming these are direct replacements for the stock bulb sockets. Great of you to put the kit together. If you get anymore, will you be considering kits for '69 - '73 cars? Or if we can order the bulbs ourselves, any advice on getting LED's matching the bulbs in our cars? Thanks a bunch!
|
They are direct replacements into the existing bulb sockets. I don't have access to a 69-73 car, which is the primary problem. It could be that most of them would still work, but I don't know what the existing bulbs in those cars are.
I had purchased and tried several different bulbs from Amazon and other vendors. I had found that the more expensive ones weren't really any better (some of them were $20 each). The first step would be to figure out what bulbs are in each socket of your car currently. A shop manual would probably be the best first start. A lot of the info I found online turned out to be incorrect. |
PM Sent - Ill take a kit plz.

left right reverse light
I have that I threw my old bulbs away. While I was working on the reverse lights, I did take a left/right pic, though. On this one, all I had changed was the reverse light. The right side is the LED and the left is the old bulb (obviously)

How do I order this kit??
|
I sold the five kits I had this morning. I will order more parts for 5-10 more kits. It will take about two weeks for me to get everything together and I'll post an announcement again if you are interested.
