1968 Parking Brake Warning light on
my parking brake light is on continuously when the car is running the last two days. I have the instrument with the non numeric oil temperature light on top, and a white parking brake light at the bottom. the light has functioned as expected previously, coming on when the parking brake lever is raised, off when the lever is down.
Yesterday, it flickered, and then came on continuously. It was the first time in decades the car has been driven in the rain. The manual I have does not indicate any secondary brake pressure functions for this light. Regular brakes are normal. I am on a road trip. Can someone comment the light purpose and error? Thanks, Doug Parker |

There is copper ground in the lever housing that is adjustable with a screw (IIRC). Should be in all the repair manuals. I think it is on the right side...although a 1968 is model I have not worked on in 35 years.
Good Luck, Rahl |
