Gas tank question

Hey Fellas,

I'm bringing an 82 SC back to life that's been in hibernation for years. Pulled the gas tank this evening to see how bad it was. When I disconnected the two lines underneath I expected gas to flow out of at least one of them and it didn't . Question is should it flow freely from both or 1? this thing might be gunked to the max!

Edit: I'm an idiot. Missed the drain plug! Haha! I expected the gas to drain from the fuel lines.

I think the people who make POR 15 make a product called Marine Clean, which I have used to clean out the inside of totally varnished gas tanks with great success. This would be after trying some pretty heavy duty solvents and having no real luck with it.

Highly recommended.

I drained mine from the fuel lines just a month ago.

Had the same problem after my 79SC long hibernation. I was able to clear out both ducts with a sink rotor-rooter type cleaning tool, about 18 inches long. After that no fuel delivery issues, but I needed as new pump.
