Window regulator spring rattling
 

Getting a few jobs done down here in Oz before Summer hits.

The spring on my right hand side (passenger in US, driver in AUS) keeps working its way off its holder and rattling against the door. Its taken me ages to work out what the rattle was. The picture shows the regulator partially removed to reveal the spring.

I have taken the regulator out before and always wondered if I put the spring back correctly.

- Should the spring be more coiled than this?

- Is the spring orientated correctly, I remember you can install it a few ways round. I forgot to take a photo, cant be that hard right? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/smash.gif

- Will replacing the clip marked with the blue ? resolve the problem?

Basically want to stop it from moving forward and rattling against the door.

OK so I found a photo and set it to the same orientation.

Looks like I'm missing half a turn on the spring.

Ill also replace the plastic clip as mine is beginning to spread.

Should be good to go.
