Need opinions

Hi guys....appreciate your feedback on an idea I have...I have a friend who has been for the last 25 years and still is a Porsche AG photographer.....we're thinking of prroducing a website of quality never before seen Porsche photographs including from inside the factory (once we get clearance).......do you think there would be a good market for good quality never seen prints and posters at affordable prices......his archive and memorabilia is incredible.......should the emphasis be on racing or would a complete cross section of photographs be best?

after a winter polish......

Hells yes. Would web site access be free?

Data point:
I regularly purchase posters of both racing and production cars. My ratios are 75% production, 25% racing.

Another thought- I'd be interested in highly detailed photographs of production vehicles as a basis for restoration work.

Good luck, I hope you are able to acquire authorization from Porsche.

very much so!

Another idea would be an affiliate program, where referals from other websites and the referals purchases would count as credits for the affiliate.

I think it should be more 50/50 .. hell Porsche won't race thier cars anymore .. so we have to have pictures to prove to the new generation that they use make GREAT race cars in the past. I love old race car pic's and all.. but production pic's are just as nice..

great IDEA I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT.

Depends on what the pictures are of, but if they're vintage racing photos and cool skidpad testing of prototype cars and stuff like that I'd totally be down to order some posters if you made that available. As for the website, I'm all for it and I'll reload the site 20 times a day to get you guys some hits to get you off the ground. Good luck with your plans.

My interest would be the racing cars of the past. I have little interest in photos of
strictly stock production cars. Prototypes, specials, lightweights, designs that weren't
produced, behind the scene photos would be great.

would it help if I sent you my credit card #'s??

I want more good photo's of Porsches, sitting still, in action, production, but even more the race cars, etc...

I have to resort to scanning them from books often times, and they usually put the best pics straddling the spine so you can't scan them.

Appreciate the feedback so far folks....keep it coming...there's a long way to go yet so we can't take orders or details just yet (it wouldn't be ethically right to from these boards anyway)........but thanks for the offers......it shows me the interest is there.....because of peoples varying taste about frames and also shipping costs and damage issues we are planning to ship in cardboard tubes is that cool?
