OK to use Mobil 1 - V twin MC 15W-50 Oil?
I saw Mobil 1 V Twin MC oil next to the regular Mobil 1 at Autozone. Would the V Twin oil be better for the aircooled Porsche engine?

You've just asked a question that is one of most debated topics among automotive and motorcycle forums.
Basically, the motor oils available today are better than the ones that were available 20 years ago. One of the differences between motorcycles and cars is that for motorcycles, the motor oil is also used to lube the clutch in addition to the engine. Therefore, most motorcycle oils will not contain friction modifiers that are often blamed for increased clutch slippage. So I don't think motorcycle oil will do anything for you besides empty your pocket faster. Motorcycle Consumer News has a really great article in their January 2003 issue. If you want more information, check out Lubrizol , Lubelink , or the Americal Petroleum Institute websites. I highly recommend the January issue of MCN.
