Bay Area Pelicanites! Shop question.

I will be arriving -with any luck- in San Francisco later today (10/2/16) on a road trip from Colorado.

Along the way I've discovered that my '79 911 SC has a temperamental starter (once the car is up to full temperature it tends to seize).

Any advice on shops in San Francisco (ideally) or surrounding would be greatly appreciated. I would normally do this work myself, so open to ideas too.

I have a place to park in the city, but want to fix this asap. Wish I could drive it straight to a shop today...

Thanks very much.

J.

Too bad, but at least it's not too serious. If you cannot find a place in the city, I suggest Hi Tech in San Rafael for this job. S-cargo is great and in the same neighborhood. They're maybe 30 minutes from SF. I live less than an hour from SF. You are welcome to use my garage and tools. And you are. welcome to the stock starter from my sc, which i replaced for the same reason, though it may be less temperamental than yours. Just let me know if I can help.

Search for the recent thread about The Stable closing. There are several other SF shops mentioned.

Thanks very much, guys. I got her here and may have a solution/garage to do my work. Will reach out if that falls through.
Thanks for all the quick responses.
