72 rubber bumperette removal

Do I need to remove the bumper to remove the bumperettes? My car has the factory early fiberglass bumper...and those uuggly rubber bumperettes.

Thanks

Speedo

The bumperettes do have 2 bolts each that go through the bumper. On the back side there will be 2 nuts per side. If you can't get your hand behind the bumper (which I don't think you will) coming up from the bottom, you will have to remove the bumper.

I believe there is 4 bolts in the frunk and another 2 on the sides then the front bumper pulls right off.

There are four holes with plugs in the front trunk latch bulkhead. Remove those plugs and you can reach the bumperette bolts with a socket extension. No need to remove the bumper or reach underneath.

I never knew what those plugs were for. Learned something new...again

Apologize for the bad advice.

Whoo hoo!

Thanks guys! Made my day. My fingers are not 12 inches long and they don't articulate backwards. I was going to have to take the bumper off...
