Newbie question regarding seats
 

Bought a new-to-me '74 and am curious about seat interchangeability. If I wanted to bolt in later seats, what seats are a direct bolt-in? If they don't bolt in directly, does someone make seat rails to fit newer seats into a '74?

Don't know about '74 (I would assume dimensions might be the same), but for '73 & earlier, there are steel, pre drilled adaptor strips (kits) that bolt to the seat anchors that allow you to mount later seats. I have a pair I will be bolting into my '69 to mount '80s high backed seats with. There are also templates (I have drawings somewhere) showing the dimensions so you can make your own adaptor mounts.
