Front wheel hub

Hi All,
I bought a 1971 911T project in boxes and are working through all the parts to see what is good and what is bad and what is missing.

Had a closer look on my front hubs, the ones in aluminum, and they looked really sad. They are badly corroded with big chunks of aluminium deteriorating. I don't think they are useable.

So, looking for a healthy pair of used ones I have noticed that the 944 and 924 run similar (if not the same) hubs.

For my 1971 911T what should I look for? Any measurements in offset that is dictated? How about later 911:s? And, as said, any other Porsche models that run the same hub?

Thanks for any input,
Jörgen Forssling

Check this post, has the measurements for the 911 front hubs.

Can anyone confirm: front wheel hub depth '67 vs later

I have got hold of some hubs. Before i toss my corroded ones I just want to check with you. They are not useable for anyone? Straight to the scrapper?

Never toss anything old porsche (that isn't truly consumable) is my experience. Someone else almost always will pay for them. Put up a photo and a price in the for sale every time.

I hear you, but this looks pretty toasted don't you think? I'm thinking balance and strength as well as looks.

I guess you could machine it evenly. Still worth to take up shelf space?

Those are real ugly but are still "Porsche" and old. Maybe someone creative will want to make some art piece out of them, nice for a lamp base. Like something that came from under the sea !
