Anyone improved the look of a Monty muffler tail pipe?
I stumbled across an opportunity to fit a slightly used 2 in / 1 out Monty muffler to my 911 SC last week and I have to say I just love, love, love the SSI + Monty combo for this car. A nice low down burble at idle and a bit of raspy anger at the top end - but no drone, and the flat 6 scream doesn't get drowned out either. Seat of the pants feel suggests an extra couple of horses compared to the OEM style Dansk but this could be my imagination and I really don't want to start a hp debate! Overall I'd describe the whole experience as "measured hooliganism," if such a thing exists... Good times
![]() So my only complaint with the Monty is that the big 75 mm tail pipe has a rather sharp, sawn off look to it (I still like the lip at the end that my OEM style Dansk had). So has anyone improved the look of their Monty tailpipe? I'm struggling to think of how to do it, so am hoping to crowd source some ideas.. or maybe I'll just get used to it in a few weeks. |

It's clean and not too large. You'll get over it.

There are about a billion sleeves that you could put on it, in shiny stainless or chrome.
