Fort Bragg
I need a recommendation for a good aircooled shop near Fort Bragg, NC. My son is shipping his SC there, as he is going to his Army duty station. The car has been cared for by the same mechanic here in AZ for 7 years, and we are spoiled. Anybody have experience with shops in that part of the state?

Best I can do for you is Flat Six Preservation in Raleigh.

There is an add in Excellence about an 'older' shop in Rocky Point.....I'm not aware of any solid shops in Fayetteville itself.

+1 for Flat Six. Kanon is a great guy.
Oktoberfest is on 16 Oct in Cary, NC with the Hurricane Region if the car arrives in time or he just wants to meet some of the local people.

Thanks, guys! They're picking up the car today. They claim one week, so maybe he'll have it in time for the sixteenth. Glad to hear that others have family in the service.

Another good option is European Performance, where my 1988 Carrera has been serviced for 13 years. They have a location in Raleigh and Durham.
European Performance Raleigh European Performance Durham Fayetteville has a Porsche dealer where I stop by when in town making the rounds. Porsche-of-Fayetteville If your son is a PCA member, there is a group out of the Pinehurst area that has activities throughout the year. Sandhills Porsche group I'll keep an eye out for a white SC. |
