1989 Porsche 911 sunroof delete? No code?
I am looking at an 89 coupe that doesn't have a sunroof. No evidence of a patch panel etc. the options sticker doesn't list 652 as an option? Could the car be a factory non sunroof without have this code?

My 1987 RoW car has no sunroof. I haven't always been the owner, but with the highly stock condition in which it was purchasesd (no mods except for an aftermarket cassette player) ten years ago, I would be extremely surprised if it had a sunroof patched over or covered in any way. There is no option 652 on the hood data sticker.

So I am pretty sure that sunroofs were an option and not standard in 1989 so there isn't a delete code. Some years, not sure which, it was standard so hence the delete code.

I think sunroofs became a standard feature in 1989. Prior to that, they were optional. ROW coupes are more likley to not have a sunroof than US cars, as US cars were usually more heavily optioned.
Maybe a little more research is needed. JR |
