Windshield installation Warped Leather Dash?

I'm ready to upgrade to a new windshield but before I spend the money, I was concerned about warping in my dash.

Is this going to make it really difficult? Trying to picture the cord properly seating the seal when the bottom of the seal is probably 1 to 1-1/2 inches below some sections of the dash. Searched here but didn't really come up with anything.

The last pic shows the right hand side of the dash which I assume shows the original height relative to the seal.

Any thoughts from someone who's done this? Thanks. Jim

Hey Jim,

What year is your 911? I'm happy to send you a link to a DIY tech article on removing/replacing your windshield to address your concerns.

You can use really strong string or better yet, electrical wire. 12 or 10 gauge.

Lube it up with soap, KY, glycerin, something slippery.

Best bet is a friend with big fat hands to apply even, firm pressure on the outside. It will clear that gap even if the rubber lip will not go back down. You can push it back down with a very dull flat blade screwdriver or tired putty knife.
