XDI2 / electromotive wire and relay ...

Hi guys,

as I'm rebuilding the engine, I jump for an XDI2 twin plug ignition management from Clewett

regarding the manual, they indicate to have 1 relay for each coil set (2 relay so) pus 3 fuse line.

from my point of view it add complexity and parts.

I wanted jut to re use the +12V from the HKZ connector for the coils and XDI box power.
I suppose the +12V is already protected with a relay and fuse

do you agree with me ?

or it's not a good idea and I really need to bring +12V from the battery and put the relay and fuses etc ...

thanks for your help and feedback

I'd check with Richard Clewitt to be sure, but generally using relays as well as fuses are both good ideas. I run mine with a relay directly from the battery positive, and also a negative wire back to the battery as well.
