Hershey Dates Posted

OK, This is WAY far out (some of us have to plan REALLY far in advance..), but the dates for the Hershey Swap Meet are posted on the Central PA website:

http://www.centralpaporsche.org

Look for the Dropdown "events" after you click though the title page.

APRIL 26th, 2003!!!!

The caravan up there is gonna be a hell of a fun run. I'm starting a Hershey savings fund right now.

VincentVega 01-07-2003 01:15 PM

LOL, Good idea Richard. Hopefully I can save up a few $$ this year, I spend WAY too much up there a few years ago.

RallyJon 01-07-2003 01:42 PM

That does seem odd. That's a big family weekend. Somebody didn't have a calendar with descriptions.

MotoSook 01-07-2003 05:06 PM

Eric, I'm busting out my old track spikes to circle the swap area and scan for a Ruf cover..hahahaha!

Doug E 01-07-2003 05:28 PM

Problem solved - on my calendar Easter is the 20th.

Now everyone should be able to make it!

clnilsen 01-07-2003 05:55 PM

Since Hershey is over 3 months away, does anyone know of any other Porsche/German car (indoor?) meets that are worth noting in the midwest?

Not that I can't wait 100 days, but you never know what you can find for the 911..

Thanks!

AWH! come man! hahahahah!:D I'll stay in your draft until I see one and pop out of the draft and sprint to it 1st! hahahaha ;)

I think I know the look you are going for as well.. I am going this Sunday to pick up the rear ruf look bumper from
Shawn(thrownhammer), this Sunday in Kokomo IN.. about 3 hours away. So i 'll only need that front Bumper and then i still need 9x16 fuchs..which i'll have to SAVE the whole 100 days till Hershey for!

See ya there!

Ahhh, yes, but that's "bunnies and candy" Easter. The 27th is "most significant holiday in the whole damn religion" Easter. As my Greek mother-in-law says: "We had to wait and make sure..." :D

Jadams1 01-08-2003 03:51 AM

I missed it last year. I can't wait, plans are already in the works.

cegerer 01-08-2003 04:35 AM

I hate to pee in the punch bowl here, but I went last year for the 1st time and was sort of disappointed. Lot's of junk for sale!! Looked thru the swap meet part of it in just over an hour. Admittedly, it was a LONG drive for me (9 hours) and maybe my expectations were too high. If it were 4 hours or closer, I'd probably do it again. -- Curt

Well, I'm signing up early this year. With luck I won't be so far back in the lot. I may even take up two vendor spots just so I can spread out a bit.

I'll be bringing some parts with me. Lets see, some 911r rims, whatever that means. Look to be around 9" wide. A few bumpers, one marked RUF and another RSR. Looks like german Rice to me. None of this stuff fits my car. I'll probably just offer these up to whom ever buys a Shirt from me. I can't imagine anyone would pay for stuff like that.:D

Well, see you all there.

Any word on the Hershey Hill Climb? Is it going to be the same weekend.

My father, son, and I enjoyed that more than the P-car show.

I can still hear the sound of the Sumbeam Tiger roaring up the hill.
