I need sheet metal screw specs

I am about to install new sheet metal all around the 3.2 I'm about to install. I got the engine and the sheet metal with no bolts. I also need the ones that go in the top of the shroud, around the fan housing. Does anyone know what size these bolts are and how many of them I need? I don't really have time to order from PP, wait for delivery and risk not having the right stuff or missing anything. I need to get this done like ASAP. So hopefully, I can just round it all up at the hardware store. Anyone know the exact specs and quantity I need? Thanks.

Hi Richard,

I don't know the specs of the bolts. Are they 6mm? If so you can get those at the hardware store. Our Ace hardware even has them in SS. Or you can get them at McMaster.com

Good luck

Would Wayne be able to help here? (Not sure if he deals in these small bits) Are these specs on the Microfiche? If he can't I'd like to recommend Stoddart Imports. I used them for a few interior screws and they had the exact factory hardware at the right size and finish. I was very pleased with the service and cost.

The screws are 6mm cheese head screws, either 10 or 12 mm long. You can search mcmaster under "cheese head".

They are M6 x 12 hex head gold coloured zinc plated, but SS would be fine, you need 25ish

You guys are amazing! I'm thinking of the times I'd hold a fastener up to a size gauge, trying to get my over 40 eyes to see what I was looking at, then figure out the size... A guy makes the post, he not only gets the answer, but a source???? Gotta love this board!
