New 1984 911 and I'm acting weird

I just brought home a '84 911 and I'm acting a little strange....it's been a.couple weeks and I'm still...

1. Hanging out in my garage with the car.
2. Staring at it for hours.
3. Pacing and walking around it like a lion circling a rare steak.
4. Sitting in it in my garage and listening to radio while drinking a beer.
5. Finding all sorts of reasons to go to the store and taking it for a ride.
6. Playing my guitar in the garage while hanging out with my car.
7. Surfing Internet for everything 911

Etc....anything similar to his happen to any of you?

What's your top 3 recommendations for a new owner of a 84 911 targa? (Besides drive it). It could be a update recommendation or how to drive it, clean it, whatever pearl of wisdom you offer would be great!

Some info on car: It has...17 linea corse fuchs rims, lowered to euro height, bump steer fix, new bilstein shocks, turbo torsion bar and stabilizers and turbo tie rods, ssi, wong chip, ac delete, mass air flow (gekkatec), h4s, k&n filter, porsche short shift kit, Zimmerman rotors, redone leather seats, new targa top, newer clutch, tranny rebuild, top end engine rebuild and repainted in 2009. The PO did a lot of work to it.

I was considering...wevo shifter and new tires. It has 205s on front and 245s on rear.

Many thanks!

Next steps -- personally, I'd get to know her REAL well before making changes. If you tires are shot/near wear strips, by all means replace -- otherwise, take time to figure out what you're looking for. Similar deal with the WEVO -- when I first got my '86 targa, it shifted like crap. My wrench dialed in the bushings/linkages/etc. and 110k miles later, it still shifts great with just the factory short shift set.

Good points darrin. I've gotten used to the 915 and don't have a problem with it. I'd like to enjoy the car with my two sons and have them learn how to drive it also. Wevo was a thought to make it easier and hopefully avoid a money shift. Just a thought at this point. However, it could use tires.

Cool looking car. I presume repaint as it seems like that was only a '74-'77 color.

Yes, a back date look to 70s color option.

Sweeeet!

If the original shifter feels loose the PP shifter and rear bushings make a lot of difference and they're cheap

Thanks Steve. Let me know if you are in Flemington area. I'd love to see that granite green. I looked it up and very cool color.
