997.2 Headlight s working intermittently
I had my 997.2 caught in a flood here in Houston last April 2016. Picked car up in May from Porsche dealer after $12K repair bill ;but had some follow-on issues with PDK not shifting up at jump to life speeds and rear foil not deploying after rear controller replaced.
Finally completed follow-up visit in October with Dealer who replaced faulty rear controller box again (replaced during initial visit). Immediately next day, rear TPM tire alert came on for back tires (went away within 24 hrs.) and headlights would not stay on without turning light switch on/off 12-13 times. All rear, side marker, and day running lights okay. Bulbs, okay, fuses okay. Yesterday head lights stayed on but lost front turn signals! Dealer claims they went no where near front controller when working on car. Do I need to replace headlight switch? Also, dealer scratched steering wheel when removing seats. They removed and refinished the wheel fascia on last visit; high beams switch work okay |

welcome to the pelican forums! This particular folder/topic is dedicated to older, air-cooled, porsche 911s (pre-1990) -- you'll likely get better responses from the forum dedicated to your model, which you can find here Porsche 996/997/991 Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS
Good Luck! |
