Idle issue
Bottomed out front end on street hump and immediatley started to idle eratically. Exhaust note way off.
Start up is wonky, at ignition it shoot to 4k then down tk 500 then way back up then struggles to stay on. Sure i knocked something loose. Possible fuel pump issue? Any trouble shooting advice you can think of would be great. |
Checked with our Porsche expert; likely the heat exchangers; or possible crack on one of the 2-1 pipes. What year is your P?

Jack her up and post a pic of the bottom

Hmm. bottomed out front end....? The heat exchangers do not come to mind as a culprit.
The Porsche model and year? |
Regardless of year/model check if one or more of the spark plug wires came loose. And yes, it'll help to post what specific car this is about.

OP has an 84 3.2.
I suspect a missing stone guard / belly pan. He may have hit the FP when he "bottomed out" but with out pics we can only speculate or the jolt may have buggered the DME relay. Again we need more info or pics as the symptoms occurred after the hit. |
