				Stone Guards for '82 SC

I would like to fit a pair of stone guards on my '82 SC Part numbers on Pelicans web site are C-559-321-00 and C-559-322-00 Checked with my local supplier in Sydney and he said that as far as he knows, these stone guards only fit the Turbo bodies with wider wheel arches and will not fit my standard SC body properly Anyone know if this is true ? Is there a separate part for the standard SC body ? Thanks !

I'd guess that stone guards are for the turbo flares. I have a standard Carrera, and have MagBra material stone guards - I'm quite happy with them. I can take them off for cleaning and have had Zero problems that are sometimes attributed to MagBras (which I also have and use on the track/long drives). Don

Ivan, there are 2 types - non turbo and turbo. I have the non turbo version on my SC and they fit fine. Got them from Pelican. 81'SC

MIK911, I too, bought stone guards for my '89 Cab from Pelican. They seem more slimline at the top of the guard than yours. IvanG, They look fine, but I haven't yet fitted them. I can take a photo of them, as they arrived, if you'd like...

Hi Adam.....I see you are a fellow Aussie....I live in Sydney. Thanks for the offer to take some pics of your stone guards. In fact, I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago (from Scuderia here in Sydney) and wasted the right hand one trying to fit it because it didnt fit snugly against the body of my car....it just didnt look like it was cut for the contour of the wheel arch. Here is a picture of my remaining left side one as well as a picture of the label at the rear.....do yours look similar ? I am interested to hear if they fit your car By the way, took a look at your cars on your web site...they look great !

Ivan, Thanks for your kind words about the cars. They're a handful to keep clean! You should post a pic of yours! I'll take a picture of these stone guards when I get home tonight, but they're slightly different at the bottom of the sticker. Mine were bought through Pelican, not a Porsche Australia dealer.

Ivan, Im looking into stone guards for SC Flares. Do you have any photo's What did you do ? What is the correct part number? I have seen a few narrow looking stone guards and I don't like them at all they look fake. Don't the turbo ones fit SC/Carrera flares ? | ||
