SC Project - Fuse box Assembly

Hello,

I have an 83 SC project. The fuse box wiring was entirely disconnected. What would be the best resource to reassemble this the wiring to the fuse box correctly. I am not bright enough to make sense of a traditional wiring diagram.

Besides a huge donation to my local P-shop or the pity of local pelicans, I am very open any new ideas.

Thanks in advance.

John

Damn, that sucks if none of the wires are/were marked.
I build/repair harnesses and would still need to trace a lot (most) of the dash wires to be able to do it. Along with some of the other harnesses depending on options.
It would easily take me most of a day, maybe even 2 or 3 to do it with the harnesses installed in the car.

Heck, it would almost (likely) be easier to pull the harnesses and have someone trace and label them to do it right. (Still a lot of work)

Are the harnesses installed?

Wiring mess............

If you will send me your email, I will send you a simplified schematic for your fuse panel. It should give you some idea of where to start connecting wires. One basic tidbit, generally, the top wires are feeding into the box and the bottom wires go out to the load (headlight, etc.). Good luck! You can email me at p911sc80@gmail.com.

Take advantage of Fred's offer.

I don't know if he still offers it, but while you're there, I'd buy one of his ATO fuse panels. I bought one like 4 years ago and finally installed it this past summer. Significant improvement over stock.

Consider the modern bladed fuse replacement panel offered by Pelican. Money well spent. You're halfway there....

Hi John, I PM'd you - I have a spreadsheet from when I redid my whole fuse box after timmy2 fixed my harness. I have an '82 SC so I think they are the same.
