Custom Plug Wires

Hello all,
I am doing an EFI conversion, using a coil pack from SDI. This will be mounted in the SC, where the CDI box used to be. The recommended wires are MSD, which are 8.5mm. Does anyone know of a source for the spark plug connectors? I can only find the Beru connectors, which are the screw type, and I need crimp type, not to mention 8.5 vs 7 mm.
TIA
Pat

Magnecor sells all this stuff separately, so you might want to try there. The connectors, the wire... I did a TEC3 conversion on a jag v12 back in 2003. Made my wires with stuff I bought from them. I'm not sure the boots are the same or available. The engine I did has the plugs exposed. Jegs might be another option.

Contact Clewitt. He will set you up.

I have a set of Clewitt wires. They suck.

I have a set of clewett wires they are perfect. FYI the Clewett wires and ends have been upgraded and are superior. If you had the old type, I agree they sucked.

I must have had the old type. They looked like real wires, but after I cut one apart I saw the inferior construction methodology. BTW, I have spoken with R. Clewett in the past; first class guy and bright innovator. These wire were not one of his better products. Car ran like crap with these wires.

It was recommended to me to use MSD wire. My new coil packs have the old Chevy HEI type connector. The MSD wound wire is 8.5mm. The Beru factory wires I currently have are the screw end terminals at the plug connectors, which I would like to use again. I don't know if I can squeeze the wire into the rubber, and the Beru connectors seem to be only available in 7mm wire OD. So, I have to find the equivalent to MSD in a smaller diameter, or larger Beru connectors, or plug connectors that will work with the bigger wires. Someone told me that Mercedes has the same setup on certain models as the SC has.

Pat ,
No comment on wires, but where are you mounting the ecu??
I just acquired a 3.6 w a KMS ecu that was mounted in engine bay and had to be relocated to the cabin /back seat area.It was not happy in the engine bay ,and the p/o had to replace and relocate.

Under the drivers seat is the factory spot.

BTW, the Clewitt wires are Moroso wire that he terms with Porsche ends.

ECU is going in a special box on what used to be the rear passenger seat, drivers side. When I first bought the car, I was driving on an interstate during a torrential rain, when the underseat areas got flooded. Seems the antenna wire was not well sealed where it penetrated the fender. Ever since then, I determined I won't put anything sensitive under the seats. Box is pretty waterproof, for when it rains at DE.

ECU wires go through the firewall in front off the fuel accumulator. I cut two 1" holes there for the now-removed MSD 6 AL, the J&S Safeguard, the MSD boost controller and the Leask RPM solenoid switch. Yes, it's a turbo SC.
