Wayne's Book Time est x2!

Well I haven't slept yet, but my new carrera chain tensioners are installed. It took me right at 9 hours!! Just under double what "101 Projects" states. But it is finished.

Thanks to HawgRyder, Super, dad911, Chuck, Grant, Steve, John Walker, KTL, and everyone else who leant some advice.

Left side chain tensioner was shot. But no apparent other damage. Installation of the actuall tensioners was the easy part. It was removing the engine tin, muffler, etc and putting it back on that took the most time.

I ended up using two zip ties per side to keep tension on the chains. Worked well, and had the replacements ready to go. What a PITA! Wish I had done this in August.

She purrs like a kitten again. Noticed while I was there that a vacuum line to the distributor was disconnected. Now I feel even better.

Thanks fellas, couldn't do it without you!
