Best machine shop in Cinci OH area?

After 32 years of ownership, it's finally time...

What is the best machine shop in the Cincinnati OH area for 911 engine work? And preferably one that can deal with a mag case?

I'd be willing to drive a few hours, if there is a good one in Dayton/Indy/Columbus/Louisville etc.

Give metalkraft coachwerks a call, I know he has connections for engine builders and machine work.

I'd start by giving the guys at p3 autocrafte in Centerville a call. I don't think they do machine shop work, but would know who is the best to go to in the area.

Simple, put it on a pallet and send it to Henry at Supertec Performance. Www.supertechperfomance.com.
He has done a great job for me! Very knowlegable, and helpful
I have always used freight quote.com for shipping.
Good luck

Jeff

That thought crossed my mind as well, if you're going to have someone else do all the work, might as well send it to the best, the freight cost is small compared to a full rebuild. If you're doing disassembly/reassembly yourself, then it may make some sense to use someone local.

Hey Dave - you can also try posting in our Regional Forums - you may get more eyes there. Make sure to include the city/state in the thread title. Best of luck!

good to know more local Porsche owners. are you a PCA member?

I know several guys who do engine rebuilds, and had provided some suggestions. but I linked up with Steve Wiener at Rennsports Systems years ago. shipping my stuff to him in Portland OR. he is my guide to a full tub up rebuild of a 78 930 conversion.

another local shop you could check with is Wright Motorsports on the east side. no idea if they do machine work, but probably would have a suggestion.
