I had inconsistent clicking on my DME relay. It ended up being a bad power fuse. The ends had been worn off and did not allow for a good circuit path.

Sounds like a spotty DME relay and your alarm module isn't satisfied or broken.

Yes if I connect Pin 30 to Pin 87 ( no ground to 85b) the car runs.
I connected pin 30 to Pin 86 without any results. Brian

1. Time for a good DME relay.
2. Jumper pin 86 to 87 but only turn the key on without cranking the engine.
Then place your hand on the idle valve to see if it's vibrating.
It the valve is vibrating, you have power from the ignition switch thru the alarm
ECU to the relay and your problem is just a bad relay.
3. Remove the jumper before any cranking of the engine.

Turned out to be a problem with my alarm system. Today I bypassed the alarm using the "no cut" method mentioned in the Forums. Car is running , owner is happy. Thanks for everyone's input.
