Fuel Pump - for Euro 3.0
... suspecting "intermittent" issue with old fuel pump (how old???) and looking on internet for replacement.
Prices are all over the board - depending on pump. The car is a '73 with a 3.0 and pump in the rear - with no relay in line.... just heavier gauge wire I suspect. I think I need the 911-608-102-00 (Bosch) based on "CIS" requirement - listed as for an SC. My question: Are the mounting requirements similar for "front" vs. "rear" ? The pump above lists it as front mount. Will I encounter problems or need to modify anything to fit to the rear? Thanks, |

I've used a turbo rear pump before with success on CIS installs in the rear.

Hi Bruce,
.....Yes, that's on the list as well and that seems to be the most expensive pump by far.... it will be what it will be, but I'm hoping I can make something adapt to a rear mounting that also fits the spec required for CIS. I haven't looked at the actual rear mounting in many years and thought it was just strapped down - time to jack it up and get reacquainted. thank you |
