The fun begins! Pedal cluster rebuild

Well the pedal cluster is out and what a rusty mess it is. I was wondering why my throttle started feeling mushy well it seems the bushings on that are gone as well as the brake pedal. now to get the roll pin out. I printed out the tech article and am ready to start. A couple of photos for those interested

I am very interested since I am undertaking this in about two weeks. What year is your car? Post more pics!

Can't you buy a complete rebuild pedal cluster assembly from Pelican? That might save you the pain and aggrivation of doing it yourself, unless you enjoy it that is.

Well it took about 2 minutes to get the roll pin out and that is supposed to be the hardest part, so I just had a sandwich and gonna head out to pull it the rest of the way apart.

My car is a 66.

Yah, I can post some more pics as this project progresses

And yes I actually do enjoy this kind of thing. I find it relaxing and interesting

stop the timer!! The pedal cluster rebuild is complete. I must say that was pretty easy and no special tools were required! I bought that kit from Pelican about 2 years ago and have been dreading the install. Herese a pic before I cover it up. Good luck to all planning this it really was easy
