What does the inside windshield trim look like?

Hi, my car kit came without the trim that goes around the inside of the A-pillars and top of the windshield (part 6 on the manual, 901 555 901 40). Our host has one from Porsche, but provides no picture. The only pictures I could find on the interweb show a rolled-up piece of leatherette.

Can someone tell me if the trim for a Targa (1972) is made up of a solid plastic or foam piece (like the dash or kneepad), or if it's just covering glued on top of the metal? A picture would be great :)

Thanks for your help!

Around the windshield frame, it is just vinyl over metal, with a thin foam under lay.

Thanks, that explains why I can't seem to find any pictures of the part. Next time I find a 911, I'll peruse their windshield!

On my '72 targa, there was no foam under the vinyl - just vinyl and glue. Could have been done that way by a previous owner. I used the old pieces to trace out the new replacement vinyl and glued it in myself. It turned out pretty well but it was tedious and time-consuming. It also required stitching together the ends of the top and lateral pieces. If you do this, be sure to remove the lateral and top covering intact so you can figure out how to stitch and cut the pieces out.
