It look like they might be mounted too high at the front, could be the pictures though.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1481991882.jpg

They look fine with the rockers bolted down with rubber strips attached. I measured from the spring plate to the outward edge of the flare which measures to 9 3/4" on the right side and nearly 10" on the driver side. Not much but enough that the rocker cover alone looks just a touch off which the rubber strip seems to make up for. I also measured from the area that is cut to make certain it was the flare itself and not my own foolishness which lead to this, and as I suspected the flare itself is indeed the culprit. So the lesson here is even if you snap up a set of original Porsche RS flares, do not expect them to be perfectection. If we have a second lesson we learned, it's that some RS and SC flares begin flaring closer to and even directly on the torsion hole whereas others, probably most, flare just aft.

Just an observation .... You are going to have to go back and fill in those pin holes in the weld. They are going to lead to some major headaches later down the road is not properly welded and filled in now.

As for the flare it looks like it was bent at the bottom when installed. I had a set of RSR flares that shipped form the UK. They got slightly torqued when fedex handled them. It was fixable and not a big issue but if they were welded on without fitting then they could have looked similar to the drivers flare you have.

Finishing up the welding was to be done once I knew everything was just right and after stripping just in case there were more surprises, which there often are.

Think what I'll do is cut the driver side weld vertically and correct the flare then reweld. I shouldn't have to go up more than 18". I loathe that it's come to this but it needs to be right and there is no better time to do it.

Gentlemen. I am pleased to inform everyone that the issue has been resolved. Everything measured up perfectly after I cut the spot welds at the bottom 4-5" then ground a touch of material from the bottom of the flare and joined it to the rocker. This corrected things perfectly. Very pleased.
