1966 vs 1965 VIN's?
Can anyone confirm if a 1966 car VIN could start with 302XXX? From my my research online all 66's started with 303XXX.

Yes, in fact almost all 302xxx cars are 1966 MY cars. However they were all manufactured in the second half of 1965. First car actually built in 1966 was 303391. There's a long thread on subject at EarlyS.

The factory has done it's best to obscure the 1965 MY to 1966 MY transition. The ESR thread mentioned is the best at sorting it all out. If you have any doubts, contact me and I can help sort it out.
