I don't know why the first three are grouped separately?
You answered that yourself the first three were pertinent to the specific options of the car. The rest were standard build info applicable to building an RSA. If it had option 220 (LSD) 219 would go away and 220 would have been listed with these.

If this car had a radio it should have option code 331 and would have been listed with the first grouping. I believe option 451 means no radio installed, which is std on an RSA vs. tuned for USA radio bands. Guess it is in the translation

As far as removing and adding parts. I would restore it to stock. If this were a C2 or C4 it would be one thing but the value of RSA is IMO in its originality.

Also as far as the third brake light. The 964 coupes came with the third brake light up high vs the late model 3.2's which used the 964 windshield and rear window seals but had the brake light down low. I don't know why they moved them. Down low did not create the blind spot that the up high one does. Obviously they realized that when designing the 993.

This is the part number for just the base.

I had a brand new one in the box. It comes in white plastic. You can actually buy the entire tail and all of the needed parts to mount to a lid from Porsche. It includes everything shown in the PET

http://dz310nzuyimx0.cloudfront.net/strapr1/9856c27e9509f09445e4de66a97105cf/db0915cf3f6d67cc8e80e470dbe01729.png

plus all the hardware and additional parts. It isn't inexpensive and it is actually sold as the spoiler for a 3.2 carrera. It comes with additional hinge for the one side so a lid strut can be added to both sides for the 3.2. I don't believe the hinges are compatible with the 964 but the RSA used the older style lid and they had special brackets like the turbo to adapt the standard lid brackets to work with the older style lid. The older style 3.2 tail base is no longer made and all the bases are supplied without the wiper hole. The only difference was the wiper hole and how they were painted .So this is the best way to order it.

I have full detailed photos someplace showing the kit and where the part numbers are located. I believe I have the part number for the entire kit as well and it was close to $3k for everything IIRC .

I will try to find the pictures and post them.

Thanks for the clarification. Now it all makes sense!

I would have to re-translate. I originally thought it translated to "reduced radio," which I thought meant a radio receiver tuned for North American band.

It instead must mean the "radio" is "reduced" to nothing. In other words it isn't there!

I've updated my post to reflect your correction.

I have also decided to go for a original restoration or rather just put Everything back as it was, its not a full restoration cause its not as bad as it looks. Also I have gotten an offer for the car, not sure what to think of it.

Hi again
Have bought tons of parts since last time, now I'm aiming to buy a tank cover but there's some differences in the covers, which one's are the right one for my 1993 RSA is the question.
As far as I've seen there's three different options, the one that goes pretty high up on the tank, there's one that goes high but just on the left side and there's one thats low almost all the way. Any suggestions?
Edit: Still looking for a rear seat delete, leads on that highly appriciated.

Hi again
Not much have happend with the car, it took a record breaking 1 1/2 years to get it over the pond, seller made everything a seller shouldnt do. So it's taken a while to get the the inspiration up again on this car for me, just wanted to get rid of it there for a while.
It arrived to me in march this year...I have plenty of adjectives about the seller who also screwed me on parts we agreed on for about 3000-4000$.

I now sleep better knowing my savings are "intact" and ready to go on with this, however I decided o wont do this myself, I suddenly remembered I wasn't a mechanic...

I wonder what this is
323 - without ECE regulation label

Is this the stickers in the rear about Engine etc?

Edit:
I've bought so many parts, I'm getting to the light in the tunnel and sending it to be renovated in October or November. I've found all of the parts beeing special for the RS America, vaccumed the World and a lot of hours later I got them all but alot less Money on the account, these things are expensive.
I'm now fully aware of what the term "slippery slope" means...=P

So after a long time with just buying and buying parts it was time to buy an engine. I've found a perfect engine for the car. It will be a 3.8 conversion. I Visited a Porsche shop and bought a really really nice engine, they had some nice cars there aswell.
Here's some pictures, the blue one is a -73 Carrera RS

I also found a great mechanic for this renovation, a renowned racecardriver and Porschebuilder for 30+ years, the knowledge is impressive. Car now in a great place for renovation, here during loading. Rented a fantastic trailer with air ride to lower when loading and with a machine puller(?!) to drag the car on the trailer.

Just curious - why use an RSA for this build? It was a special car in its own right; seems like for the amount of customization you're doing, you could find any shell and go from there. Maybe there was too much done to this one to bring it back to original, but that's what I'd do with a limited edition 911...

I am going to renovate it to original, or rather put back parts that's been removed. I'm going to try to keep the original paint but maybe a repaint is necessary, to many small marks. The blue car is a Carrera RS that was being renovated at the shop I was visiting. So no worries, it's still going to be a RS America just going to give the engine some extra horses and make a great car even greater.

All panels remove prior to paint and body in great nick, absolutely no rust at all and no hidden stuff. It's getting closer. Estimate first drive in late August or beginning of September.[IMG][/IMG]

I’ve just cleared some space .
My pm box is allways full !!

And regarding the rear seat delete on the last page , the cab version is a different shape due to cab rear interior being different .

I have one here in a car if you need pics .
I also have this .
It’s part of the rear seat delete , but no reason why I have it .
The dealers couldn’t tell me either , but they can’t believe I buy half the s*** I buy

Tnx I've actually found a rear seat delete so that's sorted somewhat, it's missing some parts. Doors and the mid plastic part, but atleast I have one. It was a long time searching.
Did you see my other question in the PM? please PM me if you have some more info. Tnx

I have no pm from you .

I’ll have to double check , but I think the rsd doors are just 964 Usa glovebox doors .
Row they’d be 993 glovebox doors .
