3.2L Motronic fuel injectors - choices

New Bosch ones are $400+, rebuilds of various qualities under $100. But, I see new ones from Standard Motor Products for $72 each. Does anyone have person experience with these new alternatives?

Are you sure your existing injectors are beyond reconditioning?

If you send them out and have them done, they will come back flow matched as a set.

The current ones are rebuildible, but I was concerned about the turnaround time.

I just went thru this two weeks ago. I sent my injectors out and two came back not repairable, I was told to order these and they worked out great, Perfect fit and only like $45.00 each. I ordered them from Rock Auto Parts

Thanks for the tip, but according to the site the correct ones for the 3.2L are 4G1493 ("out of stock").

As for rebuilts being matched sets, I don't think this 100k+ mile engine will know the difference.

Sorry to hijack, but is this worth doing as just a maintenance item? My car only has 80k miles, has it really had enough time to get clogged?

There are two or three threads talking about suitable replacement injectors. Just search the forum for 3.2+injector or something like that.

Get in touch with scarceller; you have the option of using readily available injectors with one of his chips.

New Product: Performance Chip with Matched Injectors for 3.2L Carrera

I had bought a set of rebuilt just a few months before he offered this option. This is the better option i think; lets face it the injectors on our cars are old regardless of whether they are rebuilt or not! Common for these style Bosch are bad coils and leaking bodies. These are the ones i went with, they have been working well.
