Hey pbs911,
you might try a company call SAIA . tell them you need them to bring a lift gate truck and a hand truck. be sure to insure the engine and mark the palet. top freight only and equiped with tip and tell. plan on it costing a few hundred dollars from the get go. the farther it travels the greater the cost. if you have problems email me and i'll try to help. i send freight out with Saia and have an account with them. crlsailing@aol.com

Most any truck company can handle the pickup. You just need to indicate that you are at home and need a lift gate. Make sure you secure the motor to a pallet. I used eye bolts screws and coat hangers to tie it to the eye bolts. Wrapped it real good with plastic wrap and cardboard. Remove anything that can come off. Mark it as a "used motor" and insure it. Truck comapnies only pay $.50 to a couple dollars a pound should it get damaged or lost. Make sure you write down a good description on the Bill of Lading including the serial number, model etc. Mark it "Do Not Top Load". Yellow Freight handles these and also Overnite Transportation.

Paul,

Until I saw that you are in Newport Beach, CA, I thought you were thinking about sending your engine to MM.

MM!!

No this is for a sale. I'll give SAIA a call on Monday. If anyone else knows the name of a specific company that would be great.
