After 24 accident free years my car ran out of luck. A deer ran into the front left corner denting the front wing, breaking the headlight and damaging the hood. It came directly from the left so I didn't see it at all until 1 sec before impact. Somehow the windscreen didn't break @~40mph as the malefactor bounced off the hood/glass.
I keep telling myself: "It could have very easily been much worse." - still ![]() I have Grundy for insurance and hopefully will find a decent shop to fix this. Already submitted photos only for Hendrick's collision shop. Don't know if they are any good? Tried calling Euroworks but they never answer the phone anymore! I would appreciate any thought/ideas/shop recommendations. Thanks! ![]()

Give Loren a call at https://importpaintandbody.com/. He did a full respray on my 1995 Carrera a few years ago and I was very happy. They have also taken care of our daily drivers for various accidents for about 20-25 years and I have always been happy with their work.

Loren is excellent, but sometimes quite backed up. As an alternative, Adam at Sonderwerks in Cornelius is fantastic too.

Thanks Knodeland. It's nice to have another option just in case. Submitted pics and got an online estimate from Hendrick of almost $10k! They quote replacing the wing. I was rather hoping it can be repaired.
An appraiser came by today to look at the damage. He was very reassuring. He explained Grundy will issue a check to me and I can then choose what to do with it. He also knows Loren and spoke very highly of him. I feel pretty good about this at the moment. We will see what the appraisal report looks like. Here is a pic: ![]()

JTL, Agree with the others, you have the two correct shop names for Charlotte. I've done some bodywork in my days. That fender (wing) could be repaired, but if the headlight bucket is deformed in anyway, it would be very time consuming (expensive) to repair. Even if it is fine, the hours to restore it would likely exceed the cost of a new one. Replacement is likely the most logical path to complete the repair.

Stopped by Loren's shop. He looked over the damage and wrote an estimate for ~ $5k. He couldn't say for sure if the wing/fender is repairable or not. We'll see. Schedule-wise I'm in the queue for jan - feb; pretty happy with that.
![]() I was thinking about the headlights. Now would be an ideal opportunity to go to led's?! Having a hard time with the old H4s after driving the other/newer cars.
