So I bought this basket case this summer and have spend the last few months trying to get it on the road. I am getting close - needs some CIS work (big surprise) and an alignment but I am able to drive it around the neighborhood. I love the way it drives but I felt like the gas pedal was weird - like the spring at the throttle was not pulling hard or the floor was too close. Essentially when I floored it it felt like the floor was too close and the pedal should go further...
Well, well, well. I adjusted the linkage and BAM!!! My car is a rocket now! I had about 50-60% throttle for the past few months of test drives.
So - here's the tip - screw up your throttle linkage. Or better yet have a fellow car guy do it slowly so you barely notice. You will get used to your car being a bit slower. Then on a nice sunny day get that throttle linkage back nice and tight. It will feel like you just upgraded to a 930! Best mod ever!
